The Indigenous Lactation Counselor training is a 5 day, 45 hour course that provides foundational lactation education to Native people so they can provide clinical lactation support in their communities. It is for Native people, by Native people sponsored by Arkansas Coalition of Marshallese and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Office of Community Health & Research. The Indigenous Breastfeeding Counselor training was created by Camie Jae Goldhammer, MSW, LICSW, IBCLC (Sisseton-Wahpeton). Camie and Kimberly Moore-Salas, IBCLC (DinĂ©) are the instructors. Monday, September 12 - Friday, September 16, 2022 8:30am - 5:00pm every day in Springdale, AR *Previous experience not required. PROVIDED Course is at no cost for anyone that meets the below requirements.Breakfast and Lunch included.All training materials included. REQUIREMENTS Open to all self-identified, indigenous community members from across the United States.Must attend be able to attend all day, every day of the training. Registration is required.
