UPDATE, 4 P.M.: Nassau County police say the road has reopened. LEVITTOWN, NY — Jerusalem Avenue is closed at Hempstead Turnpike due to a crash, Nassau County police said. Police say the road is closed in both directions from Hempstead Turnpike to Squirrel Lane, which is one block north. Police are investigating a crash. The crash involved a box truck and a FedEx delivery truck. Drivers should use an alternate route.
