Maintenance Handyman – Full Time Maintenance Staff Summary The Harbor/Club Maintenance staff’s role is to service and repair the Clubhouse, Sailing Center, docks, slips and related facilities, and be accountable for the safety and functions of those facilities. Skilled duties include plumbing, electrical, carpentry and the use of equipment related to the operation of facilities as well as the harbor. Under direct supervision of the Harbor Master, the Harbor/Club Maintenance staff applies problem solving skills and time management to ensure the timely and accurate completion of assigned and routine projects and tasks. All work is to be conducted in a pleasant manner, causing minimal distraction and discomfort to members and staff. Handyman Responsibilities – a partial list • Assisting and filling in for Housemen and/or Maintenance Personnel. • Work with catering on event set up and breakdown of tables, chairs, other structures. • Provide some basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and electrical. • Janitorial work, i.e. vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dumping trash, etc. • Work with Maintenance Staff reporting to Harbor Master. • Possess strong work ethic and willingness to do all jobs. Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) AND some maintenance experience preferred. Experience with boats and harbors a plus. Note: Possession of a valid California Driver's License (CDL) is required as a provision of employment.
