We are a San Francisco based Property Management company seeking an employee to join our Code Compliance Team. The Code Compliance Team oversees all annual inspections required at properties in the San Francisco Bay Area, including, but not limited to, fire escapes, fire extinguishers, fire alarm panels, smoke and carbon monoxide testing, exterior building, boiler, sprinkler, standpipe and other inspections as required by law.
This position will have three main roles: performing in-unit annual smoke and carbon monoxide detector testing, coordinating repairs with 3rd party vendors to pass the exterior building inspections (known as 604 inspections), and assisting the remaining code compliance team as necessary. This position requires the employee to travel to various locations on a daily basis to perform specific tasks as well as work in the office to complete the required paperwork.
The right candidate for this position is detail oriented and has strong communication and time management skills. They must be able to manage a project from start to finish which includes overseeing 3rd party vendors with setting expectations and follow up. Candidate must have their own car and the ability to climb a ladder in order to test the smoke detectors.
Responsibilities include:
Working with Operations Assistant to schedule inspections
Posting notices to enter units and communicating with tenants about entering their units
Checking and Replacing (as needed) smoke/carbon monoxide detectors
Documenting smoke detector inspection results
Scheduling repair work for exterior building inspections
Overseeing repairs from start to finish
Updating internal tracking software
Requirements:
Must have own vehicle
Must have a clean driving record
Must be able to climb a ladder
