Like the mixtape, the film explores the nuances of adolescence; particularly a Black, inner-city Chicagoan adolescence rife with joy but inseparable from the dangers and looming mortality that comes with navigating under-resourced communities. Primarily shot in Bronzeville and Grand Crossing, the short centers around a neighborhood kick-back and the events and personal development that follows.
