Press release from Anne Arundel County Public School: June 14, 2022 Board of Education President Joanna Tobin and Superintendent George Arlotto released the following statements today regarding the Fiscal Year 2023 operating and capital budgets adopted by the County Council: DR. TOBIN "Budgets are reflective of priorities and it is clear today that the County Council, like our Board and the County Executive, places a high priority on the education we provide to our students every day. At a critical juncture in our history, these budgets move us forward and create a better educational environment for all of our students." DR. ARLOTTO "I have always appreciated the diligence the County Council has shown with respect to our budget requests and it is obvious by the body's work on these budgets that it recognizes the issues we are confronting and what will be needed to move our school system forward.
