Description

DEFINITION: Under general supervision of the Director of Maintenance and Operations and with direction from the Site Principal and/or Maintenance Supervisor, within a broad framework of standard policy and procedures, plans, directs, and participates in the custodial maintenance of a large school plant, usually a middle school OR a continuation high school. Leads and directs the work of the custodial staff. At this level the problems of vandalism and security tend to be more acute than at the elementary school level. Performs job related duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements / Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: ~ A pre-employment physical is a requirement of this position if you are a successful candidate. Education: ~ High School Diploma or GED equivalency Experience: ~ One (1) year of related experience in a position equivalent to a Lead or Head Custodian, OR ~ One (1) year in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a related field such as custodial, maintenance, or janitorial work.
