Bethel Health, Building Records Going Paperless

BETHEL, CT — Bethel's building and health departments are in the midst of converting its records from traditional paper formats into an online/paperless systems. As a result, local officials are warning the public documents in those department's might not be readily available during the months of June and July. "During the months of June and July, the property files and permanent health files will be scanned with the intent of making them more readily accessible to the public and for the preservation of the documents," reads a Town of Bethel announcement. "Documents will not be readily available, they will be off site being processed." People are being asked to call or email the departments during this time if they need to see any documents in those departments. Some examples include: permits, certificates, site maps, septic plans, property violation and health department files.
