Description

Join us for a day of service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. THIS EVENT IS ONLY OPEN TO INDIANA TECH STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF. Join us for a day of service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy in civil and human rights. By using a "day on" rather than a "day off" to serve others and give back to the community, we hope to continue the legacy of unity that Dr. King worked so passionately to advance. The Oxford Community Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit that works to increase safety and cleanliness in the neighborhood and support for businesses that better the community. It is the first and only association in Fort Wayne to own its own building, but the community building has fallen into disrepair through the years, with only a handful of people trying to bring it back to its full potential. Volunteers will be assisting with indoor cleaning at the association building. We will be meeting outside Student Affairs suite in Andorfer Commons 30 minutes before the project begins to transport to the service location.
