Here are the top three stories in Franklin today: The Franklin Special School District has opened its borders to students residing outside of Williamson County. The non-county residents would have to pay tuition to attend Williamson County schools - $4,000 per student, per year. There are tuition waivers available through various providers. (williamsonherald.com)A Franklin Police Department officer was assaulted while responding to Lifetime Athletic on Saturday. 59-year-old Lisa Flowers Gary allegedly kicked the officer in the face, chest, and stomach while resisting arrest.
