Updated at 1:58 p.m.: The fire has been extinguished and all traffic lanes are clear, the Fairfax Police Department said in a 1:24 p.m. alert. FAIRFAX, CA — A Marin blaze early Tuesday afternoon has triggered a traffic advisory. The blaze in the 0-100 block of Porteous Avenue in Fairfax involves a tree fully engulfed threatening a structure, the police said. Motorists are urged to avoid the area. The Ross Valley Fire and Fairfax Police departments are on the scene. No additional information was immediately available.
