Description
Press release from the City of Marion:
June 13, 2022
The Corridor Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) seeks input from the public on transportation projects included in the draft FFY (federal fiscal year) 23-26 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).
The TIP is the annual capital budget for the Corridor MPO. The TIP is a four-year planning document that identifies planned transportation projects within the Corridor MPO's planning boundary that are expected to utilize federal-aid funds (instead of local or private funds). This year's TIP includes funding for roadway, trail, transit, and Safe Routes to School projects.
Comments are being solicited on the Corridor MPO's website. The site can be reached by going to www.corridormpo.com and clicking on "FFY 23-26 TIP". On the webpage, a link to the draft TIP is available for the public to view. If interested, the public may comment on the projects likely to receive federal funding by filling out the public comment form provided on the website. Public comment forms submitted through the website will be sent to MPO staff. The public is also welcome to send an official comment via email to [email protected], as well. Comments will be shared with our Policy Board at their next meeting.
All members of the public are welcome to comment. The 30-day public comment period has been opened and comments must be received by MPO staff on or before July 10, 2022.
Please visit the Corridor MPO website or Facebook page for future opportunities to provide input to the Corridor MPO.
