UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The record-high $101 billion budget passed by the City Council on Monday includes millions of dollars coming to the Upper West Side. The local funding includes improvements to schools, museums, and parks in the neighborhood. The majority of the money secured for the UWS was sponsored by Council Member Gale Brewer. Among the entities receiving the most money from the budget include local firehouses, Dinasaur Playground in Riverside Park, and the American Museum of Natural History.
