Looking for small dog for emotional support

Hello, I am looking for a dog male or female, old or young that can be my 17 year olds emotional support dog. We recently lost my husband and since then her anxiety and depression has her therapist asking me to find her an emotional support dog. I am a vet tech so the dog will be well taken care of. I don’t have much money right now for a large re homing fee. Thank you
