Job purpose Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for following Company safety procedures, policies, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to process incoming and outgoing shipments of supplies / product. Will also be responsible for the storage and organization of raw materials / product. Duties and responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for processing incoming and outgoing shipments of supplies / product following SOPs. Unload received product / materials from pallets and delivery trucks and verify accuracy of all deliveries, ensure they match Purchase Orders (P.O.s) and shipping labels, and adjust inventory counts appropriately Document, investigate, and help resolve any discrepancies in product received. Sort and distribute incoming deliveries and other materials to appropriate personnel and destinations according to established procedures and deadlines Prepare shipments, loading / receiving goods and product, and inventory organization and distribution. Prepare all outgoing shipments for pickup, which includes stacking, wrapping, and palletizing all ordered product and load into trucks using forklift. Ensure all shipments go out according to schedule and requirements to meet customers’ needs. Maintain a real-time, up-to-date inventory of all raw, packaged, and in-process inventories in the Inventory Management System. Assist the Tasting Room with restocking of bottled product as well as organization of kegs for Tasting Room use in the cold box. Responsible for the organization and storage of all inventories including proper labeling. This includes raw materials and finished goods inventory in all warehouses including both cold boxes. Responsible for daily cycle counts, as needed, of finished goods, supplies, raw materials, etc. and update Fishbowl and relay information to supervisor. Assist in monthly physical inventories of all material and product and reconcile those inventories using the Inventory Management Software. Assist in resolving customer issues and ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining the integrity of the Company. Forklift and hand truck certified Advanced math and computer skills with prior experience with Inventory Management Systems helpful. Solid knowledge of logistics and shipping procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and vendors. Well organized with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays for special work related events such as beer dinners. Must be at least 21 years of age. Education and/or Experience A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a production brewery environment or other related warehouse environment with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of experience and education is required.
