Position Description The essential duties of this position will be to prepare, operate, and maintain production machinery to manufacture concrete products. This position also requires the employee to operate forklift on a regular basis and will be asked to collaborate on other production projects as needed Qualifications Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and positive team attitude. Must be detail and quality oriented with the ability to use measuring instruments to perform quality checks. Must possess mechanical aptitude and be able to identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical problems and irregularities. Must be safety oriented, and willing to follow safety processes and regulations. Ability to work independently, but also in a group setting where teamwork and collaboration is key. Support LEAN implementation and actively engage in lean activities Willing and able to work day or night shifts, overtime, and adaptable to changing work hours. Previous forklift experience/ certification is a plus. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position requires a lot of bending, twisting, and reaching while standing; must be able to work quickly, while standing, in a fast-paced environment. Physical capacity to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis Requires moving around safely in manufacturing facilities, administrative offices, logistical operations, and storage areas while staff/machinery are in operation.
