Wanted: Paul Simonon, Bass for tribute to The Clash

Radio Clash, the West's premier tribute to The Clash, seeks bass player. We love the music and ethos of The Clash and bring a very high energy show to our audiences. Currently gigging 6-8 times a year, and rehearsing 1-2 times per month in the West Portland/Eastern Beaverton area. We are not costumed imitators though we do make an effort to capture the vibe and, more importantly, the energy of The Clash's performances. Our next bass player should be connected with The Clash as a fan and also a solid bass player with some vocal abilities. While not required, having a playing style of Paul Simonon (e.g., play with a pick) is highly preferred. If you also look the part, even better. Our current catalog of material includes about 30 songs from The Clash's debut album through Combat Rock and grows regularly. We have paying weekend shows booked in July, August, September, and November. Please be a responsible, reliable, and kind person with your own gear (a Fender Precision Bass, preferably) and transportation. Age or gender is not an issue as long as you bring Clash-level energy, passion, and talent to the stage.
