Description

As a welder you will need to be able to do the following: • Weld – various processes ( CO2/spray transfer) • Different steel thickness • Grind and detail product to a finish • “light” fabrication or the ability to do so • Read and understand blueprints and weld symbols • Mitigate the task at hand in a timely manner to ensure a quality product consistency • Use time wisely as to not produce re-work • Taking re-work and turn it around with quality as good if not better than original • Help complete deadlines on/ before due date • Help complete tasks as a team • Keep good housekeeping • Help shut down and clean shop at the end o the day for a good start in the morning • Clean – Bathrooms – mop, sweep, clean toilets, replace toilet paper/ paper towels/soap etc., sweep shop/ driveway, throw-out scrap • Drill ( magdrill, drillpress, hand drill) • Punch holes (Iron worker) • Setup- Jigs (dies and punches) • Changing bits • Cutting rebar/ plate • Read a tape measure • Lift up to 100lbs • Embeds –Know how to use stud gun correctly • Layout material
