Description
Heyyyyyoooo... We're an originals band that also messes with and messes up the occasional cover.
Our sound is a bit like, let's say a suburban Velvet Underground aiming for Big Star, but landing in Violent Femmes territory, 90sish, but aiming for jangly and not super aggro (at most, Pixies-ish) or heavy (at most think the poppier side of Nirvana).
So, our guitar player is moving on in life and we're looking to keep moving forward as a band.
Our music is pretty indie-ish rock (90s with some 60s/70s powerpop vibes). We have some recordings (an EP on Spotify and some demo recordings for a new project). Not looking for a super shredder (or Super Shredder..?), but someone who is cool with tasteful noodling, a little shambolic playing and hopefully some pedal and noise freakouts.
Our songs are relatively poppy, but we're looking for a lead player who can shake them up some, fill in gaps and get a little strange. Backing vocals and willingness to play a little aux. percussion strongly encouraged.
Our age range is early 30s to early 40s and we're all basic-assed dude-peeps, but that shouldn't limit whomever (yup) might be interested in joining, so if you're down to play, we're down to play too...
Could start by "shadowing" current guitarist and then move forward and build on that (He may stick around as sometimes keyboard player). Looking to do more recordings and get some good local shows.
Mainly porch fests, local festivals, maybe work our way to the Black Cat and make some sounds legit enough to perhaps play Fort Reno by next year.
We are generally cat peoples... Do with that as you will.
Thanks for reading.
