Amanda Gardier 21+ Insanely talented saxophonist dazzling Indy performing originals and jazz standards! Saxophonist, recording artist, and composer Amanda Gardier has been described as “a uniquely talented jazz composer and soloist” (Nuvo). With influences stemming from Miguel Zenon, The Bad Plus, Walter Smith III, and Bjork, Gardier is an alto saxophonist who juxtaposes the calmness of lush harmonies and cyclical melodies with the intensity of complex rhythms and fiery improvisation. Amanda has performed at notable venues and music festivals across North America, including The Jazz Kitchen (Indianapolis), Andy's Jazz Club (Chicago), Cliff Bell's (Detroit), The Jazz Estate (Milwaukee), Kerrytown Concert House (Ann Arbor), Palladium (Carmel), Indianapolis Jazz Festival, Winnipeg International Jazz Festival, Elkhart Jazz Festival, Fountain Square Music Festival, and more. She has also performed for the Walt Disney Company, Holland-America Cruise Lines, Birch Creek Music Performance Center, Cardinal Stage Company, and Wood & Rodin Music Production. Throughout her career, Amanda has performed with Ingrid Jensen, Dave Stryker, Leni Stern, Wayne Wallace, Wes "Warmdaddy" Anderson, Jamie Baum, Sal Lozano, and has been a featured performer on four releases by the Charlie Ballantine Group. In addition to her active performance career, Gardier is the Instructor of Jazz Saxophone at Ball State University. WHAT ARE WE DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE The Jazz Kitchen main dining room will be limited to maximum capacity of 70 guests. We have installed touch-less faucets, towel dispensers, soap & hand sanitizing stations in our restrooms. We have installed additional sanitizing stations throughout the restaurant. Staff are subject to thermometer checks prior to every shift. All staff are required to wear masks throughout their shift. Reduced and flexible floor plan will be updated to allow social distancing. Disinfecting of all surfaces before and after every show. WHAT WE ASK OF YOU TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE •• A new order, effective on Friday August 14th, further defines the face covering requirement to a full mandate at all times while inside of our venue. The only time in which you are able to remove your face covering is when you are sitting at a table, seated in your chairs or momentarily while eating or drinking. PLEASE FOLLOW SIGNS WHEN ARRIVING If you are feeling ill or have a fever. Please stay home! When you get up to move around the venue, you must have your face covering on at all times. LIABILITY WAIVER & DISCLAIMER All ticket holders, guests and artists agree to enter at their own risk.
