And I'd do it again, no question. If Trump's CoViD is A hOaX nonsense being gone saved anyone I care about (I and believe it did) then it was without question the right decision. That's not fear talking, that's just plain selfishly wanting more time with the people I love (including my living grandparents). Suck it. I do what it right for me and my family, not what YOU want. Why do want to support a "hated" candidate anyway? Just to spite people who you don't like? Are you not part of the problem here? Had your candidate not pissed off more than half of America he'd still be prez, we would have never had to pick between a mediocre candidate and a largely hated one with a dangerous cult following. The cult following is the main reason I don't want Trump in power. You've got a certain subset of Americans who will say "yes daddy Trump", to all his whims and demands. This creates a dangerous situation where our prez is above the law. I want the checks and balances to function the way they are supposed to function. That's far more important than who is in the oval office. The entire world is dealing with inflation and high gas prices. That's the nature of growing pains after a pandemic, there was absolutely no stopping it. Zelenskyy himself does not think Trump being in power would have influenced the Russia invasion, yet I'm supposed to believe some conservative hardliner telling me so? Give me a break. Trump had a bit of unpredictability going for him, but that's about it. He wasn't the badass his fans think he is...guy had a freakin' meltdown over everything that didn't go his way. All you have to do to beat Biden in 2024 is primary in someone reasonable, someone new...someone not Trump, someone who has more of a platform than "OwN TeH LibS", someone who respects the rule of law, someone who actually wants to unite America, someone who doesn't get the backing of right wing militias and hate groups. (As an aside, it's funny how soon the "Respect the Office" rhetoric disappeared when it became clear that Trump himself didn't respect it, now it's even a more distant memory when your attacks on Biden are even more vile than the attacks on Trump were...)
