Job Responsibilities: Observes, performs, and records maintenance on all equipment to ensure proper function and accuracy of operation. Complies with strict safety regulations on the use of all equipment. Obtains and maintains a general knowledge of all mechanical plant and hospital support equipment to include general operation and adjustment procedures. Repairs and maintains machinery and equipment in accordance with diagrams, operations and manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications. Reports malfunctioning equipment to supervisor, and repairs, replaces or contacts factory representatives as appropriate. Performs grounds keeping duties including but not limited to: snow removal, interior and exterior maintenance, and maintenance of the grounds.
