We are a community service 17 member big band, established in 2017 and located in the central Dallas area. We play a variety of musical styles to include Jazz, Swing, Latin Jazz, Latin, and Ballroom Dance. All members are unpaid volunteers. Our goals are: 1) to provide music to charitable and community groups or organizations who ordinarily would not have access to the entertainment we provide, and 2) to maintain and improve our musicianship. We rehearse Monday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas.We are a community service big band, established in 2017 and located in the central Dallas area. All members are unpaid volunteers. Our goals are: 1) to provide music to charitable and community groups or organizations who ordinarily would not have access to the entertainment we provide and 2) to maintain and improve our musicianship. We're looking for a Drummer who's interested in playing with a large Jazz, Swing, Latin, Latin Jazz community "Big Band" as either a full time member or sub. Intermediate or higher skill level required. You must be an adult, 21 or older. Weekly rehearsals in central Dallas, Mondays, 7:30 to 9:30 PM. If interested, please respond for details. Signed band needs drummer for Recording and Touring.I'm looking to have fun with this project more than anything else, but I do have PLENTY of time to put in the effort and work and take this seriously. I'm looking to make more friends through this experience I'd REALLY prefer my band mates to be within my age group (25-35). I'm self taught and wouldn't say that I lean towards any particular genre more than another, but we both really like The Strokes lately and I'm REALLY trying to avoid country and metal type music. Open to different styles of vocals, male or female, and age is not an issue. Original material influenced by classic, hard and stoner rock. Currently working on set and will gig on a fairly regular basis. We range from 30 to 48. Practice space with recording and mixing at my home in Plano. Must be able to rehearse once a week. We would like to hear a sample if possible. Thanks
