This session is comprised of 4 parts: Generational Soup: Where's the Beef, Ready. Set. Goals! Setting Goals and Expectations, Writing Effective Daily Observation Reports, and The Toxic Trainee & Trainer Liability. Each part is designed to address common issues faced by trainers whether in an academy setting or on the job training. We will review how to approach and engage the next generation of call takers with new tools, technology, and learning mechanisms. Through interactive exercises and engaging discussion, we will break down training culture and build it up better! Lunch will be on your own. This training is sponsored by Charles City County Sheriff's Office, City of Petersburg Police, City of Hopewell Police and Sussex County Sheriff's Office Multi-Jurisdictional PEP Education Grant.
