The Museum offers $5 Mini Tours on various days throughout the season in place of docent-led Guided Tours. Mini Tours allows visitors to drop in at any time during the hours of operation and explore the first floor of the Mansion at their leisure, with docents present in each Period Room to provide information and answer questions. The admission fee of $5 applies to all visitors, including LMMM members.
On view currently in the first-floor Period Rooms are the must-see exhibitions titled, Making It Last: Sustainable Fashion in Victorian America, which explores the recycling philosophy of the 19th century, as well as the dangerous practices used to create the magnificent gowns worn by high society, and Fragments of Light, Impressions of Color, a juried art exhibition featuring emerging and established artists working in the style of contemporary impressionism and focusing on the effects of light and color, whether through portraiture, painting nature, or depicting the urban landscape.
