I have two rats that were purchased from a friend at a Washington pet store. They are very cute, but we can no longer take care of them. We got them because our rat's brother died and we thought he would enjoy more friends. I was gravely mistaken. They do not like each other at all and we would like the new rats to have a safer home. They can be pretty shy, but they warm up to you over time. Their names are Marsh (brown and white) and Mallow (all white). They have to be purchased together. You also need to have knowledge on how to take care of rats before you purchase them. Mallow is the more outgoing rat, and Marsh is scared of pretty much everything. As long as you spend time with them, feed them treats, and not be too loud, they will crawl all over you. They even will take food from your hands. They love out of the cage time so they can chase each other. They will be priced at $20 to ensure that they go to a good home. I have their cage as well that I will sell for an additional $100. We will give you their food for free as well. They do have an upper respiratory disease that is not deadly or severe in the slightest. It just causes them to sneeze every now and then and get extra redness around the nose and eyes. We will show you what medicine you can buy them. The medicine is something you can buy without a prescription. This medicine you just put into their water whenever you notice the symptoms. If you notice the symptoms getting worse, then take them to a doctor. But they are almost a year and have not needed a doctor's visit. Dark chocolate also helps.
