Description

Large environmental corporation looking for an experienced heavy equipment operator. All candidates must be: Willing to travel. Work outside in all types of weather. Work 8+ hours per day up to 6 days a week. Participate in project kick off meetings. Adhere to all corporate, office, and administrative guidelines and policies. Maintain an acceptable driving record and follow established vehicle use practices. Perform work in accordance with established health and safety policies to include site specific requirements. Complete all training requirements. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to include full face respirator (clean shave required). Report all incidents of injury, property damage, accidental release and near miss. Maintain a professional appearance. Promote a positive and cooperative work environment. Qualified Candidates will have: Able to interpret utility markings and appropriate protection methods. Able to safely operate rollers, loaders, skid loaders, telehandlers, diesel powered air compressors, diesel powered generators, forklifts etc. Able to perform and document equipment safety inspections. Able and willing to help Field Technicians whenever necessary. Able to recognize equipment mechanical issues and assist mechanics in diagnosis. Able to safely operate bull dozers and excavators. Ability to understand and perform the following with limited supervision: Remedial construction techniques to include but not limited to UST closure projects, dig & haul projects, treatment system installations, soil mixing, plant decommissioning and demolition. Backfill installation and compaction and slope construction. Trenching/shoring requirements. Site controls to include erosion controls, dust mitigation, and site security measures. Equipment and personnel decontamination procedures. Elevation, grade control and GPS guided heavy equipment. Rigging and lifting requirements. Heavy equipment capabilities and safe work practices.
