Description
We posted for our lost cat. A guy claimed to have him and even sent a photo that looked a lot like our cat. Asked about a reward. He was sketchy from the beginning (didn't say where he found our cat and wouldn't send additional photos) but my partner was so hopeful about the possibility. Person said to meet him in a parking lot. and didn't give us identifying info but wanted to know which car we were in. When we got there he asked (via text) if we had money with us. Again, we asked for additional cat photos to ensure he had the cat. He did not send any. (I think he googled cat images to find a cat that looked similar to our original photo in his initial communication to us.) Be aware that crappy people will prey on your heartbreak. Person posted as Michael Davis but likely a fake name with many fake accounts/names. If someone asks about a reward and is not giving multiple photos be very wary. Do not give out your address or car info. Be safe.
