This is the right time to discover late breeding birds like American Goldfinch plus early “fall” migrants and dispersing young birds that are not quite sure where they belong after their parents have left. Meet at Essex County Environmental Center, 621 B Eagle Rock Ave., Roseland, NJ 07068 Becker Farm dates back to 1880 when it was a farm. Over the years this farm added its famous railroad which entertained families for over 30 years. The now abandoned farm is a great place to spot grassland birds.
