Introducing Get on the Bus -- Mirelli Adventure Networking Where Networking + Fun = Great Business We are kicking networking up a notch. We want fun. We want engagement. We want to actually get to KNOW our business contacts. Yes, we are all about business, but life is too short to be bored! 4-6 or more times a year, we are going to go on an Adventure. If you want to hang with us, you’ve got to be willing to get OUT of your comfort zone, try things you’ve never done before, be willing to play and have fun, and most of all, be the real honest-to-goodness authentic YOU. No hiding behind the fake smile. We want to see your real belly-laugh. We want real conversation. We want real connections. And you’ll learn. You’ll learn about your fellow adventurers and their businesses. You’ll learn about businesses in the LowCountry. You’ll learn marketing and networking and business-building techniques. And so much more! So what sorts of things might you experience on a Mirelli Get On the Bus Networking Adventure? Here are just SOME of the ideas Get on the Bus and INVADE three small businesses where the owner is there to welcome us, give us a tour, and tell us about their business journey. Take a horse carriage ride where we sprinkle in business tips and strategies and point out Lowcountry business stories along the way We stroll down King Street on Second Saturday or downtown Summerville on a Third Thursday as a group, brainstorming ideas on a topic of the day We charter a boat for a private sail around the harbor and have small business owner guests share their entrepreneurial journey. We’ll do the Wild Blue Ropes or an escape room together, learning about teamwork and facing your fears. We’ll take a Canva 101 class, or meet a photographer in the park to learn about angles and lighting, or maybe even go bowling or miniature golfing. And more! We’re kicking it off Wednesday, July 13, 2022. Meet at 1 Million Cups meeting, 9 am, Frothy Beard, 1400 Sam Rittenberg Blvd. You'll connect with local entrepreneurs, listen to a new business presentation, and enjoy some delicious coffee! Then GET ON THE BUS and head to a Lunch & Learn with Bettina Fisher, Blazing Star Café, 874 Orleans Dr., Charleston. Bettina will share her experience in opening a new restaurant and jumping in headfirst into entrepreneurship. After lunch, we'll head to Unbridled (5743 Sauldam Rd., Ravenel) for a Guided Herd Observation/Team Building session. Owner Kim Hallin will lead us in a relaxing afternoon of rest, relaxation and re-centering at Unbridled. No previous horse experience is necessary. Come spend some peaceful time on the farm as Kim guides us in learning from the horses what it means to find a natural state of presence and equilibrium. 4:30 pm – Return to Frothy Beard
