WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford man has been arrested in connection with the recent vandalism of the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial at Dutton Park, according to police. Maxx Frisco, 29, was arrested Monday and charged with two counts of first-degree criminal mischief. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond with a court date of June 27. Frisco is accused of vandalizing the Wallingford Vietnam Veteran's Memorial at Dutton Park on two occasions, according to Sgt. Stephen Jaques. The memorial was vandalized on June 8 and June 9, according to Jaques. Jaques said in both instances, "derogatory/obscene images and words were spray-painted on the monument." Frisco was identified as the suspect following an investigation and turned himself in on a warrant on Monday, according to Jaques. "The Wallingford Police Department would like to thank both the citizens of our town and the media for assisting us in coming to a swift and just resolution," Jaques said.
