WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police arrested a driver after they fled a traffic stop and led officers on a 3-mph chase across the southeast part of the city on Saturday, police said. Police tried to pull over a sedan without license plates when it took off near Wisconsin Highway 164 and Blackhawk Trail around 12:27 a.m., according to police logs. Officers were waiting with stop sticks at the intersection of Highway 164 and E. Racine Avenue as the driver rolled by at 3 mph, police said. It's not clear what happened between the driver and officers at first, but police set up their cars in case they took off again, police logs showed. The driver told police they were driving with their sister who needed gas in her car, police logs showed. Police arrested the driver and the sister after they found an open criminal case against them.
