Press release from the City of Louisville: June 10, 2022 Auburndale Park Tennis Clinic will run from June 13-17 Louisville – It's time to get into the swing of tennis this summer! Councilwoman Amy Holton Stewart (D-25) is hosting the Auburndale Park Tennis Clinics from June 13-17. The week-long camp is the perfect opportunity for children ages six to twelve to try tennis for the first time or improve their existing skills. Players will learn the rules, etiquette, and basics of tennis. Plus, they'll have plenty of fun! "This is a wonderful opportunity for the children in District 25 to get outside, have fun, and learn new skills," said Councilwoman Holton Stewart. "It's important to keep our kids engaged during the summer months. Data shows that kids thrive when participating in extra-curricular activities. This free tennis clinic is a great opportunity to do just that, and I'm thankful for our partners teaming up to make this happen." The free clinics run from 10:00 a.m. to noon each day, and all the equipment will be provided for the participants. Lunch will also be provided for free each day. The summer tennis program is possible thanks to a partnership between the District 25 Office, Louisville Parks and Recreation, USTA Kentucky, and Louisville Area 10 & Under Tennis Association. The media is invited to cover the tennis clinics any day during the week. The councilwoman will be on site and available for interviews on June 16 from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
