Paramedics took two of them to a hospital. It was not immediately clear what type or severity of trauma the patients had suffered, said Cal Fire Capt. Thomas Shoots. Radio-transmission equipment on Tecate Peak was potentially in the path of the fire as it spread Monday to the northeast, Shoots said. The fire burned near the site of the Barrett Fire that blackened about 65 acres. That fire sparked Sunday evening and was 25 percent contained by Monday morning.
