Press release from the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce: June 6, 2022 Last week, Hilton Grand Vacations and members of the North Local Area Steering Committee worked with The Habitat for Humanity of Charleston to build a home in North Charleston for a mother named Sara and her four children, one born just last week. "We had to persevere through the heat and step out of our comfort zones with some of the tasks we were asked to perform, but we came together and made some major progress, to the home for Sara and her family" says Rob McEwen, Chair, North Local Area Steering Committee. "It felt great to work together as a team and be a part of such an amazing cause in Habitat for Humanity!" When receiving a home from Habitat for Humanity, a family must meet certain criteria. One of these is to fulfill 400 sweat equity hours, which means an individual must put in the work to get the home they want in return. While being pregnant with her fourth child, Sara was more than willing to meet her criteria as soon as possible. This press release was produced by the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce.
