Hi, my name is Chris. I’m 27 and I have my own house painting business here in Ann Arbor. Right now, I want to cover more ground with a helper or two. I will pay $25/hr to start, and I will empower you to begin your own painting business. Painting is a fulfilling line of work, and there’s overwhelming demand for decades to come. And you can make really good money doing it. I charge $50/hr. If you’re dedicated, I can get you on that path rather quickly. It’s possible to get there within a year. This is a really good opportunity. Developing this skill and building a book of business can (as long as you are responsible) give you lots of freedom. You can determine when you start and stop work. Your skills will be needed anywhere across the country so you can travel knowing you can find work. No college debt. Note: the skilled trades have an 80% job satisfaction rate. The average is 50%. I believe in Servant Leadership; as in, I’m here to serve you, not the other way around. Work is abundant; I’m not concerned about “training my competition”. The fact is, people can start their own business in the skilled trades quicker than many tradesmen would be willing to admit. But you need to do so with honesty and intelligence. I am flexible and accommodating to work with. I’m pretty chill. And as long as you are respectful and considerate, and have a continuous desire to improve, we’ll get along.
