NORTHBROOK, IL – June 1, 2022 – Throughout the month of June, Boys and Girls Club of Lake County (BGCLC) is the featured organization on the Community Art Wall at First Bank of Highland Park in Northbrook. The exhibit highlights their mission to inspire all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. BGCLC provides age-appropriate programming for youth ages 6 through the end of high school. Their members can find a unique sense of belonging at the Club. Club sites are open every day after school, in the summer, and are run by trained youth development professionals. The Club offers a wide variety of programs that build character, enhance education, cultivate creativity, encourage healthy lifestyles, and teach good citizenship. Creating this kind of environment gives its members the opportunity to learn from a variety of activities and programs. “Boys & Girls Club is a pillar of the Lake County community,” says Megan McKenna, CEO of Boys and Girls Club of Lake County. “The organization has provided critical support to so many youths and their families over the years and has the opportunity to build even more Bright Futures through strategic and sustainable growth”.
