PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY.....COUNTY SHELTER WILL KILL THIS DOG IF WE DONT FIND A HOME... Hi, I'm Buckwell🐾 (sociability with dogs unknown…would need to keep separate initially, with a SLOW introduction to dog in home). I am set to be euthanized June 15th 8 am. Why am I E-listed? I’m REALLY STRESSED due to long periods of confinement and few opportunities for out-of-kennel time. It is no wonder that I am jumping, barking and lunging at the kennel door as people pass by!! I just want someone to take me out!! Can you blame me? It is inhumane to keep me here in this condition! And now the shelter wants to put me to sleep!...Will you help save my life? I am GREAT DOG and have done nothing wrong! I’m a 3-year-old, neutered, black and white Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix (52 lbs.). I came in as a stray and have been at this place since February 2022. No wonder I’m struggling BAD!! They LOVE ME here! Volunteer's say: I am so loving, gentle and affectionate! I’m playful, listen well, and I know commands “sit”, “down” and “shake”. I walk well on-leash and take treats gently. I have NEVER EVER tried to bite any staff or volunteer, but some UNTHINKING person stuck their finger in my kennel, and I nipped, and I got blamed…NOT RIGHT!! I haven’t had a dog-to-dog assessment, but I haven’t “misbehaved” around dogs at the shelter. It is recommended that I have an adopter that understands a stressed dog like me, that I meet the entire family before going home, and that children in the home be older. I will need a predictable routine, a lot of time to decompress and relax, and time for exercise and play. I’m a good dog that deserves to live! Can you save my life?
