We provide complete foodservice equipment maintenance and repair services for restaurants, QSRs, convenience stores, retailers, coffee shops, and concessions operations, specializing in Commercial Cooking, Refrigeration, and HVAC equipment. We are a nationwide company with local branches located coast to coast. Job Description: The Commercial HVAC/R Technician is responsible for driving a company vehicle to and from customer sites to troubleshoot, maintain and repair commercial and HVAC and refrigeration equipment. To be a successful Commercial HVAC/R Technician, you should be able to work independently and solve problems as quickly and efficiently as possible. To excel in this position, you should have strong technical skills, be a master a troubleshooting and enjoy dealing with people. We have openings in the following cities: * Decatur, IL * Bloomington, IL * Peoria, IL * Peru, IL * Champaign, IL * Springfield, IL * Northwestern, IL (Quad Cities) Duties: · Troubleshoots and repairs commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment. · Inspects the commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment and their related components to ensure safe operation. · Communicates with customer and branch office regarding status of repairs to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated with customers. · Completes service tickets according to procedures. · Tracks truck stock to ensure needed parts are stocked on vehicle. · Sustains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to Tech-24 standards. · Sets a positive example for less experienced and/or new technicians by being a Company advocate. · Follows all company policies and procedures, particularly regarding safety. Environmental Conditions: · Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assistance. · Repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing up and down ladders. · Extensive daily travel to multiple worksite locations. · Exposure to hot grease from fryers. · On-call weekend rotation (frequency varies with branch size). · Occasional to frequent exertion in high-temperature environments (overheated kitchens, rooftops, etc.).
