Description
Hello! We are looking for a fabric cutter. Your time and energy is so important to us and we want to be clear in what we’re looking for to see if this is a good fit for you. We want someone who can come in ONE day a week, for a couple hours, to cut out shapes that measure approximately the size of a fist from yardage of fabric. Best practices include using the entire yardage of fabric with minimal waste. Also, attention to detail here is VERY important as the shapes must be clean-cut. We don’t care if you have long nails, four fingers, or if you enjoy listening to trap or country music —we do care if you take the effort to make clean lines when cutting fabric. Sacramento 'cut and sew' studio looking for independent self-starters. If you like to be micro-managed, this may not be the best fit for those individuals. We love motivated people who like to get things done. Although this role focuses mainly on cutting fabrics, the job (may) include operating a sewing machine (sometimes serger) to join, reinforce, decorate, or perform related piece-construction operations in the creation of accessories/wearable garments. Looking for assistance now until a full team of creatives is built. Workroom is equipped and includes safety eye-wear and PPE for the protection of individuals. Duties will include using tools to cut fabrics as well (easy). Location is DOCO (Downtown Commons) Sacramento on 7th & K streets where you can easily bike to, or use public transit to avoid parking fees. Street and garage parking is also available at your expense. Garage parking nearby is FREE for three hours with a validated parking ticket. Several merchants nearby like Macy’s will validate you for free. This parking garage is across the street from the studio work room.
