Young German Shepherd looking for new home Atlas is a 3 year old German Shepherd with a very docile, sweet, and goofy personality. We are re-homing him because he is not getting along with our other dog and has health/stress issues that make our home an improper fit for him. We have tried various diets, prescriptions, natural remedies, allergy tests, blood and stool tests, and multiple vet visits with no physical health issues to be found. He had become very skinny with periodic diarrhea. We have his weight back up almost to normal, but believe that our property/home life is over-stimulating for him, as he is not fond of other male dogs (he lives with a male dog and they recently got into a scuffle, but has no issues with our female dog), constantly becoming excited by our chickens and the squirrels, and we live next to the highway. He is extremely motivated and over-excited by food, as he was a stray and believe he was hungry on the streets. We believe he would be best in an only-dog family (he is great with cats, all adults, and children) that can help him decompress and get un-devoted attention. He is mellow inside, potty trained, knows basic commands, rides well in cars, and is not allowed on furniture. He is kept outside when we are out of the home. We have all of his health records that we can provide, and he is current on all vaccines, flea/tick, and heart worm medications. We will require a small re-homing fee to ensure he is going to a good home. Please contact us with any questions.
