Description
Hi!
I'm moving and I can't take my Betta tank with me. I've had the tank going for almost two years now.
What is included:
-10 gallon tank
-LED tank light
-Betta fish
-3 Nerite snails
-An entire colony of shrimp
-A school of 5 ember tetras
-Betta food
-Heater
-All plants/gravel etc.
Information:
The set up uses soil under the gravel with live plants. Because the plants are fast growing, the tank doesn't need a filter. I do routine water quality tests and the ecosystem has been very happy. The bioload of the tank includes the betta and 5 ember tetras (each smaller than 1 inch). The snails and shrimp contribute to the bioload but they also work to clean the tank. Overall, the set up takes care of itself. I normally have to trim the plants (normal scissors) once every week and a half. When I trim, I do a partial water change. The lid is a glass panel to let the light in.
