Job Details Description Munich Welding provides process solutions for water, wastewater treatment, power, & food industries. We have a current opening for a Fitter who is responsible to perform all welding requirements, such as being able to complete lay out, fits, and welds fabricated, cast and forged components to assemble structural forms. Essential Job Functions Safety - All employees are to properly use all required person protective equipment (PPE), follow all safety guidelines and instructions and work to maintain and improve a safe work environment. Welds various types of metals and alloys in vertical, horizontal and overhead positions for high pressure and strength requirements. Welders operate MIG welders to weld part in set fixtures. Welder will need to be able to bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding Able to repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torch, straightening press, and hand tools. Welders are responsible for routine daily maintenance and upkeep of their equipment (weld gear, MIG, welders, etc) Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent 3 - 5 years experience in the welding field Knowledge in Dual Shield (FCAW) and Hard Wire (GMAW) is required Ability to understand and follow directions Ability to work independently to specifications from instructions, prints, and drawings. Preferred Qualifications: History of Certifications preferred Tig Welding GTAW Testing 6G position Pipe Welding Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for up to 3 minutes at a time Standing - most all the time while performing duties Walking-carrying prepared parts 75-100 ft.
