MCMENAMINS EDGEFIELD is Now Hiring a DISTILLER! McMenamins is now hiring for our beautiful Edgefield location in Troutdale. We are a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington serving our own handcrafted beer, wine, cider, spirits and coffee alongside good, honest pub fare. The primary responsibility of the Distiller includes, but is not limited to, all aspects of day-to-day distilling decisions with regard to quality, quantity, and style of the final product (i.e. whiskey, vodka, rum, gin, brandy, etc.) Typical shifts for this position are four 10-hour work days but may vary dependent on business need and manager's discretion. Multiple career path opportunities - we have staff who have gone from front desk attendants to sales associates; from server to manager and many other continuing stories within McMenamins Qualified Applicants Must: Thorough knowledge of distilled spirits and distilling Knowledge of beer and brewing Knowledge of viticulture and wine grapes in the pacific northwest region Thorough knowledge and experience with fermentation and troubleshooting ferments Knowledge of Still operations Previous cellar experience preferred Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills Ability to effectively work in a stressful and deadline oriented environment Ability to have a flexible schedule including days, weekends, and special events and holidays required Attention to detail as well as effective prioritizing and multi-tasking skills Exhibit knowledge of basic mathematics with or without the use of a calculator Community: Resurrection of historic buildings and properties in large and small Northwest communities Giving back financially to local schools and non-profits near each location Helping other local businesses grow with collaborative products Our Pubs and Properties are places for all to gather, relax, converse, and create a strong foundation for the fabric that makes up a neighborhood Apply in person or online at McMenamins!
