Description
This is LeeLoo, a 2.5 y/o Border Collie mix, spayed and UTD on everything.
LeeLoo has been struggling with changing family dynamics and city life, and does have a bite history with children. She needs time to warm up, and is very food motivated and has a large vocabulary of commands.
We'll be screening homes very carefully to ensure the right fit for all involved. Our ideal home would be someone who lives alone or has other adults in the house and has a yard or access to land / decompression time for LeeLoo. Her current lifestyle involves some fetch in a small yard, but otherwise she's not getting walks or an appropriate outlet for her energy and is on Prozac once / day.
I did an assessment this last weekend and got more history which I am happy to share privately. After spending some time with her, I don't believe she is a dog who cannot thrive in the right hands - she is sweet and desperate for someone to connect with and we saw zero reactivity/aggression on our walk.
A house full of children with no structure is not the kind of life she needs, and we are looking for someone with herding breed experience who is able to support her get through this transition and give her the life she deserves!
