GROUNDS MAINTENANCE – CLINTON, MD ATI-EnviroSmart is actively searching for a motivated individual to fill a year-round Grounds Maintenance position in Clinton, Maryland. Responsibilities Grounds Maintenance Laborers are responsible for the general upkeep, landscape maintenance, general building maintenance, and beautification of the facility. The majority of the work will be conducted outdoors and may be physically demanding. Grounds Maintenance Laborers are responsible for and perform the following duties: • Operate equipment including lawn tractors, Z-turn mowers, push mowers, chain saws, trimmers, trucks, and forklift; • Perform minor maintenance and repairs to grounds equipment; • Maintain grass and shrubs to levels specified in contract; • Trim / remove trees as directed; • Perform minor repairs to the grounds as directed; • Use various hand tools; • Perform repairs to fencing and roads; • Clear station and pond drains; • Perform furniture move orders; • Perform snow removal duties; and • Work with minimal supervision. Required Qualifications • Clean Driving Record (must provide date of birth, Social Security #, and Driver’s License # upon request) and valid Driver’s License; • NO CRIMINAL RECORD in order to pass a Government background check for site access/clearance; • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis; • Pass pre-employment physical and pre-employment and/or random drug and alcohol screening; • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience; • High school diploma or equivalent; and • US citizenship. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. Exposure to the weather (high and low temperatures) will be routine. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Hours of Work Typical hours are Mon-Fri, 6:00AM – 2:30PM (hours may vary during snow season) Pay and Benefits $15.85/hour with generous benefits to include health insurance, 11 annual holidays, and leave.
