The primary responsibility in this position is to prepare vacant rental units after the tenant has moved out. Our maintenance team does a lot of painting (including prep work), cleaning, installing flooring, installing baseboards, installing window coverings, and minor plumbing and electrical work. More experienced candidates will be called on to do repairs and more advanced work such as bathroom and kitchen remodeling.
We are looking for candidates who have experience in construction or handyman work and are willing and motivated to learn new things quickly, are willing to accept correction and who work well with others. Candidates must have a current, active driver's license and be willing and able to drive to different locations, most of which are within 15-20 minutes of the office in Arvada. Mileage is reimbursed when you drive to multiple locations during the day.
We are a growing property management company and there are opportunities for advancement within the company as you learn our systems and develop your skills. We want to help you advance in your career while we accomplish our goals. Less experienced candidates will start at $20 per hour, but we are willing to pay as much as $23 per hour (starting wage) for people who have already developed skills and need little training or instruction. New employees will be evaluated after the first three months and then periodically to determine if a higher wage is warranted.
Due to the high cost of training employees in this position we are looking for someone who will commit to work with us for a minimum of two years.
