General Position Summary The Moving Specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service when performing duties related to the moving of personal property. Properly documents hours and inventory. Accurately records all necessary information on work orders and enters information into the software format to meet all customer requirements and service standards. Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities § Travels to and interacts with homeowners in a friendly and professional manner. § Packs and moves household items including furniture, correctly following all procedures and guidelines. § Accurately labels boxes, handles items with care. Specific Job Requirements § Inventories and moves household furniture and boxes. This role requires the tracking of satisfaction slips, inventory sheets and forms. § Properly identifies and documents homeowner’s property. § Works effectively with other service providers, adjusters and insurance representatives at the job site. § Delivers all completed orders to the proper room. Gets satisfaction slip signed and immediately informs manager of shortages or other customer concerns. § Communicates with manager regularly throughout the workday; keeping them apprised of pickups and customer issues, as applicable. § Informs manager when follow-up is needed with an adjustor or contractor. § Keeps exterior and interior of company vehicles clean and orderly and lets management know of any mechanical needs or shortages of equipment or tools. § Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance. § Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. § Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers and including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure. § Respectfully takes direction from manager. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour Depending duties and experience COVID-19 considerations: Covid policies in place, vaccinations not required.
