Facilities Associate Position Overview: The Facilities Associate is responsible for the general upkeep of CommUnity’s facilities and grounds. This position will perform custodial and maintenance work as required for the 1121 and 1105 Gilbert Court properties as well as 1045 Hwy 6 (Pepperwood Plaza). The Facilities Associate must be reliable, self-motivated and work with volunteers. Employment Status: Hourly, full-time 40 hours per week. Reports to: Facilities Coordinator Responsibilities: At a minimum, the Facilities Associate shall have the following responsibilities: ● Perform daily/weekly/monthly custodial duties including but not limited to, cleaning floors, windows, bathrooms, commercial kitchen and dining room, along with periodic cleaning in other areas. ● Work with Facilities Coordinator to perform and/or schedule building and equipment repairs. ● Outside maintenance projects including but not limited to landscaping and snow removal. ● Assist with various community and student volunteer groups when applicable. ● Other tasks as assigned. Desired Education and/or Experience: ● Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and work as a part of a team. ● The ability to work with others, including volunteers on various projects at CommUnity ● Demonstrated track record of accuracy and attention to detail. ● Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair Necessary Skills and Requirements: ● Ability to work with a flexible schedule, with occasional evening and weekend availability. ● Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. ● Personal attributes such as self-improvement and development of new skills, friendliness, tact, enthusiasm, and honesty. ● Ability to maintain confidentiality as it applies to the various agencies within the 1105 Project. ● Submit to criminal background check. Benefit Package includes: Health Insurance (employee pays $148/month for single coverage) $400 is provided by CommUnity monthly towards dependent benefit coverage.
