Description
I'm looking to expand my anarcho-communist folk punk project Jester of No Court into a full multi-genre band. On stage, I am a masked jester in black bloc attire playing guitar and singing songs about union militancy, punching nazis, and smashing the state. I'd like to find some likeminded musicians who want to make some music people can dance and mosh to. Going forward, I want songwriting to be a collective process.
The Music
You can check out my two albums and some tracks from the third in progress on Bandcamp. Some tracks I recommend:
- Solidarity Forever (Illegal Version): https://jesterofnocourt.bandcamp.com/track/solidarity-forever-illegal-version-2
-Poopin on the Clock https://jesterofnocourt.bandcamp.com/track/poopin-on-the-clock
-Any Time Any Place: https://jesterofnocourt.bandcamp.com/track/any-time-any-place-2
-Agents of the State: https://jesterofnocourt.bandcamp.com/track/agents-of-the-state-2

The Band
I have some pretty specific ambitions for what I'm looking for. Hoping for musicians I can give the chords to and we can figure it out together. Vocals a plus. Here's what I'm looking for:
Bass - Looking for intricate basslines that aren't just doubling the guitar. Funk and jazz sensibilities a plus.
Keys - Looking for a variety of keyboard sounds from old school upright piano to rhodes to organ. Looking for versatility in playing styles.
Drums - Looking for someone who can give a really intricate rhythm but who can also do stupid pounding beats. Jazz and hip hop sensibilities a plus. I have one song in 9/8 (9 Becomes 8 off of the album Reduce the Size of Government) and I would like to play with time signatures more.
Horns - Probably want sax (preferably tenor), trumpet, and trombone. Open to clarinet or other reed or brass instruments.
